Local Information

Bedwyn station is situated in the village of Great Bedwyn and serves Marlborough and the surrounding villages. Great Bedwyn is a beautiful village on the edges of Savernake Forest. The region is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The village boasts a pub, a Londis Shop and Post Office/bakery, a primary school and doctors surgery. The Kennet and Avon canal passes through the village.

 

The station has a car park. At weekends there is usually space at all times. On weekdays there is additional on street parking but please be a good neighbour and (i) Don’t park in disabled bays unless you have a valid disabled badge (ii) Don’t park in the two closes (iii) Don’t park at the station if you are able to walk to the station (iv) Don’t block driveways (v) Don’t park on junctions (vi) Don’t park with wheels on paved or grassed areas (vii) Don’t park across dropped kerbs (viii) Please allow room for the buses to get through and turn by not parking immediately opposite the station entrance and bus stop.

 

Bedwyn station is between Pewsey and Hungerford on the Reading to Westbury line.
