TGSmith (Train Graph by Stephen P. Smith) is a free application for creating train graphs from timetables. A train graph has the calling points (e.g. stations) on the Y-axis and time on the X-axis. This allows you to identify clashes and optimise your timetable.

TGSmith is aimed at rail enthusiasts and rail user groups who wish to present timetable suggestions to the rail industry. The following is a sample screen, derived from a timetable. The PDF download is the user guide and the train icon is the download of the software for the Windows operating system.

14/07/2025: Version 1.0.2.8 released. Bug Fix: When a graph goes over midnight, and there was a non-calling point as the next station, the angle of the graph line was incorrect. New Feature: Graphs can now be saved in PNG and BMP (previously they could only be saved as Jpeg). Enhancement: The letters and numbers, displayed on the graphs, have been improved for clarity.
