2018

Short article about Charlie Chaplin published in The Oldie magazine.

2006

I was presented with a special award by the Hill and Mountain Walking Club for a succession of amusing articles I’d had published in their club magazine.

2004

I won a competition, run by TGO magazine, for ‘best walking article’, describing a coast to coast walk I did across Scotland.

2003

I had a poem published in a book entitled “Bright Voices”.

1980s

In February 1988 I had an article published in VW Motoring, entitled ‘Beetle Gets Continental Bug’. It depicted the comic adventures of driving an ancient VW Beetle around Europe. This is available by clicking the PDF file here

During the mid-1980’s I supplemented my student grant by writing for various computer magazines.
